Custom visual features

Flared, contoured and sculptural displays built around a venue concept.

Fit the wall to the booth and audience.

Mark the DJ position, nearest guests and views from the sides. Size the screen around the stage opening, speaker positions and content canvas.

Review motion graphics and any event text at the intended operating brightness. Leave access to the screen face and electronics after the booth and interior finishes are installed.

COB Pro product view

COB Pro

Front-service COB cabinets for close viewing and detailed content. Check the smallest text and nearest guests before selecting the pitch and screen size.

Design around close views and bar service.

Separate decorative video from menus, names or event information that guests need to read. Check the sightlines from stools and seating, including reflections from mirrors and polished finishes.

Locate the display and service openings around shelves, work surfaces and cleaning access. Curved fronts need a section drawing that shows the frame and the finished surface.

Resolve the shape, viewing angles and access.

Record the column diameter or ring dimensions and identify which surfaces guests will see. Map the screen sections so content aligns at the joins and returns.

Coordinate attachment points, cable entry and maintenance openings with the venue structure. Plan text and logos around the visible surface, with the content designer reviewing the pixel canvas.

Develop the display from the shape drawing.

Provide elevations and cross-sections showing how the shape changes. A flared surface may combine contour modules and flexible sections, as in the Tokyo nightclub project.

Review module boundaries, frame assembly, wiring and the content map together. Confirm access to each section before committing to the surrounding interior finish.

A flared form for a Tokyo nightclub

The Tokyo project uses a display surface that widens from a narrow base into a flared upper section. Its construction combines contour modules and flexible sections to follow the changing shape.

The contour modules and on-site assembly show how the display is divided into buildable sections. Module boundaries, frame connections and wiring are part of the shape development.

Explore custom display planning

Four decisions before ordering.

  1. Close views and content detail

Mark the nearest guests and the smallest text that must remain readable. Review logos, motion graphics and event information on the proposed pixel canvas.

  2. Dark scenes and lighting changes

Review low-brightness playback, dark gradients and transitions under the venue lighting. Include intended camera settings if performances will be filmed.

  3. Ойнотуу жана башкаруу

Define the VJ or player output, processor inputs and screen map. Creative and shaped displays use Mooncell; agree cueing and lighting coordination with the venue AV team.

  4. Access after the fit-out

Identify how technicians reach modules, power supplies and cabling once bars, speakers and decorative finishes are in place. Plan service work around opening hours.

Plan installation around your venue.

  • Drawings and mountingFor indoor fixed installations, we provide product and back-frame drawings, project-specific back-frame CAD design, wiring diagrams and installation instructions. Drawing and design support is free; physical frames are quoted to the agreed scope.
  • Venue fit-out coordinationShare the booth layout, structural interfaces, access routes and fit-out schedule. Agree power and signal paths, service openings and the responsibilities of the local AV and installation teams.
  • Testing and sparesAgree factory acceptance checks, representative content and the spare-parts list. Order documentation includes test videos, FAT inspection records, packing photographs and spare-parts images and lists.

Planning a bar or nightclub display?

Bar & nightclub display questions.

Choosing the display

Which LED displays suit a fixed nightclub installation?

A permanent DJ or stage backdrop can use indoor fixed cabinets such as Block, Brick or COB Pro, selected around the viewing distance and content. Columns, rings and sculptural features follow a custom geometry route. Start with the location and intended use of each screen, then compare the cabinet layout, mounting arrangement, service access and control configuration for that position.

How should we choose pixel pitch for a bar or DJ wall?

Use the closest viewing position and the smallest content detail as the starting points. A guest reading event information near the bar has different needs from someone watching large motion graphics across a dance floor. Review representative content at its intended size and distance. Screen dimensions, pixel canvas, source scaling and budget should be considered together before selecting a pitch.

Can an LED display wrap around a column or curved bar?

Cylinder displays and flexible modules provide routes for curved surfaces. Supply the diameter or curve profile, height, available depth and the portion of the surface that should display content. The module layout, frame and maintenance opening need to follow that geometry. Review the content across the join and confirm cable access before the surrounding bar or column finish is completed.

How are rings and unusual display shapes specified?

Start with dimensioned drawings showing the visible faces and cross-sections. A ring needs its outer diameter, inner opening, band width and orientation defined; a flared form also needs sections at different heights. Those details guide the module arrangement, frame and content map. Discuss the attachment points and service openings with the installation team while the shape is still being developed.

Operating the space

How should a nightclub screen be checked at low brightness?

Include the actual venue lighting and representative content in the acceptance plan. Review dark scenes, gradients, colour transitions and text at the intended operating brightness. A bright full-screen demonstration does not cover every nighttime use. If performances will be recorded, test the selected display configuration with the intended camera settings, and agree the working settings with the venue AV team.

How does the display connect to a VJ or playback system?

Define the source output, processor inputs, screen resolution and layout before selecting the control equipment. Creative and shaped displays use Mooncell; fixed rectangular walls follow the selected product configuration. The VJ or playback team should prepare content for the agreed pixel canvas. Confirm source switching and any cueing workflow with the venue AV partners, then test the complete signal path.

How is maintenance planned around the venue interior?

Check how each module and electronic component can be reached after the interior is complete. Front-service cabinets still need working space at the screen face, while custom shapes need access designed into their structure. Review shelves, booth equipment, ceiling finishes and cable paths together. Agree spare parts, service tools and practical access times before the venue handover and opening date.

What is needed for a bar or nightclub LED display quote?

Send a floor plan, site photographs, screen dimensions and the nearest viewing positions. For curved or shaped displays, add elevations and section drawings. Describe the content, playback sources, lighting conditions and operating schedule. Include destination, fit-out timing and local installation responsibilities so the quote can cover the screen, control equipment, frame scope, spares, packing and the required project documentation.

Explore the display options.
